restaurant selection ground floor staff courtesy staff communication
The selection of restaurants was first class. The ground floor ambience is superb. I also found the concierge gentlemen very lovely and helpful (they offered great advice). My room, a king room large, had great amenities including a dyson hair dryer.
Some of the staff lacked basic courtesy. I also found the room a little tired. Waiters at breakfast and dinner in Millie's were poor and lacked communication. Some staff members were constantly on their personal mobiles.

Acceptable Stay with Some Disappointments
high noise level difficult transportation
The location was undeniably convenient (especially with the tube station across the street).
The room felt a bit dull. It also seemed like the general noise level on the ground floor was more akin to a nightclub than a hotel. The street outside the hotel closes every evening, so getting a taxi or Uber proved impossible, which wasn't fun in the rain.

rude staff tired rooms
the evening atmosphere was alright.
the front reception staff werent great and seemed rude. a desk manager with a lisp was inflexible. the rooms felt old and tired and i dont feel was worth the price.

Wonderful Stay
great atmosphere quiet rooms useful charger free parking
the bar had a great atmosphere and i enjoyed drinks there. the rooms are very quiet despite the busy atmosphere in the hotel. the hotel provided hair straighteners and a phone charger which was useful. i got complimentary parking located around the corner which was convenient.
the hotel tv casting did not function correctly

the room was nice and neat with excellent amenities provided. two bedside switches were broken, requiring lamps to be unplugged. there was no table for two, so trays on the sofa were used.
